Travessia Beach Lodge is located in the South of Mozambique about 60km north of Inhambane. It is 1.5 hours drive from Inhambane Airport in Mozambique.
Travessia Beach Lodge is just a 2-hour flight away from Johannesburg or a full-day scenic self-drive trip. Transfers from Vilankulos Airport can be arranged. After turning off from the highway, a sandy 4x4 track meanders for 6km through the coconut trees until you finally see the ocean on the horizon.
The endless Inhambane coast stretches out for miles and can be seen from the main lodge, beach bar, restaurant and swimming pool. A trail leads to a secluded beach where you can go on relaxing morning or sunset beach walks.
The palm grove is a magical spot where you can enjoy the stillness and listen to the birds and the breeze! Hammocks throughout Travessia Beach Lodge provide the perfect place for a siesta. You can also venture out to the local village where you can get a taste of real Mozambican life.
Travessia Beach Lodge has played a role in community development by establishing water pumps in the neighbouring villages and supporting the construction of a local school.
