These boats have been a primary mode of transport in the region for centuries. Go on a tour of Inhambane, see its colonial architecture and visit the local market which sells delicious Cashew Nuts.
A great addition to your Mozambique holiday would be a diving or snorkelling excursion. There are fantastic reefs just a short boat-ride away. They afford some of the best diving in the world, and you can see anything from coral gardens with abundant colourful fish, to Barracuda and Sharks on more advanced dives. Day 1: First stroll on the beach
On the first morning of your Getaway to Inhambane Package, you will catch a morning flight from Johannesburg O.R. Tambo International Airport to Inhambane.
Once you have completed immigration, a driver will take you to a Mozambique beach lodge where you will spend the next 5 nights. After a refreshing welcome drink you will be shown to your room.
Days 2 - 5: Explore the Inhambane Coastline
Spend the next 4 days relaxing. Start each day of your Mozambique holiday with a sumptuous breakfast. Lounge on the beach with a good book and soak up the sun before cooling off in the warm waters of the Indian Ocean. Arrange to do optional activities such as sailing. Perhaps go on a snorkelling or diving excursion and discover the wonder of Mozambique's marine creatures.
Relax and have a swim in the sea, or go for a stroll along the beach to take in the scenery. Back at the lodge sip on a refreshing drink and watch the sky change colours as the sunsets. In the evening you will enjoy a romantic candlelight dinner down on the beach. The lodge serves dishes based on fresh local produce, including the famous Mozambican seafood.
Day 6: Leave behind your footprints in the sand
On the final day of your Getaway to Inhambane Package venture our into the ocean one last time and savour a delicious breakfast on the veranda before checking out. You will be driven back to Inhambane Airport, where you will catch a flight back to Johannesburg.
