Day 1: Obrigado, Machangulo!
Kick-start your Mozambican holiday with a direct fly-in from Johannesburg. Flights from Cape Town can also be arranged but will need to go via Johannesburg.
After your arrival in Maputo, a private road transfer will take you straight to the Marina where you will embark on your boat transfer to your Machangulo Beach lodge. Over the next 5 nights, you’ll be waking up in your own private villa, nestled only a few short steps from the beach.
Day 2 - 5: Mo’ rum, mo’ fun, mo’ sun, Mozambique!
Machangulo is surrounded by not one, but three nature reserves, bursting with a variety of birdlife seen all year round, most notably, Great White Pelicans and African Fish Eagles. If you’re not in Moz’ for the birds, and you were born ready to hit the water, the lodge is also ideally nestled between two marine reserves where you can snorkel and scuba dive to your heart’s content.
Machangulo itself is intimate and secluded, with a selection of villas and rooms overlooking the Indian Ocean and Inhaca Island. While you’re not catching up on some sleep or out exploring, a treatment at their private spa, or a beach picnic is the tall order of any day spent here.
Day 6: Become a Mozambique Regular
After breakfast, and a boat transfer back to Maputo, you’ll catch your flight back to Johannesburg.
