On our Classic Romantic Honeymoon Escape package offers you a value for money holiday where you will be whisked away to an eco-friendly lodge on the edge of a lagoon in Mozambique. Stay in unique chalets which are built on stilts out over the calm waters of the Indian Ocean. Relax on the deck and admire the endless blue of the lagoon. Perhaps take a leisurely stroll along the beach.

Depending on the tide you could go snorkelling right off your private deck – a great way to see the small fish in their lagoon nursery as well as many crabs. During your Mozambique holiday dive on some of the best reefs in the world and discover the amazing marine life – see Turtles, Dolphins and even Whales. Go on a romantic sunset cruise in a traditional dhow. Go on a romantic horse ride along the beach.

Sip a refreshing cocktail on the deck while watching the sun slip into the calm ocean. Experience the romance of savouring a candlelight dinner on the deck of your chalet. Drift off to sleep to the gentle sound of the waves lapping under the chalet.

Day 1: Johannesburg - Inhambane - Praia de Barra

On the first morning of your Honeymoon with Value Package you will catch a flight from Johannesburg to Inhambane. Upon your arrival you will be driven to the lodge. At the lodge you will be welcomed and find a bottle of bubbly waiting in the room. Settle in and relax on the deck and admire the view - possibly see Flamingos. In the afternoon discover the amazing tropical fish that live in the lagoon while snorkelling right from the deck. Perhaps go for a walk on the sandy beach and collect some shells. Return to the lodge and sip on a refreshing drink as the sun sets. Then freshen up for a romantic candlelight dinner.

Day 2 – 6: Praia de Barra

Spend the next 5 days of your honeymoon package just relaxing and doing as little or as much as you like. Explore the area – go snorkelling in the lagoon and see the vibrant colours of the marine life. Arrange to go on a diving tour to some of the nearby reefs, where you can see Dolphins and Whales.

Go kayaking in the lagoon or arrange for a picnic on the beach. Set out on a nature walk to explore the mangroves – a great way to see the local birdlife. Experience the romance of horse rides along the beach. A value for money experience is hiring a traditional boat called a dhow for a sunset cruise. Watch the colours of the sky change while drifting along on a gentle breeze.

Relax with a spa treatment in the privacy of your chalet or soak up the sun on the beach. Discover the vibrant culture of Mozambique while on a tour of Inhambane. Stop off at one of the local affordable restaurants to sample some of the country’s unique fusion food such as authentic Chicken Peri-Peri.

Day 7: Praia de Barra – Inhambane

On the final day of your romantic Honeymoon with Value Mozambican holiday, there will be time for one last early snorkel or walk on the beach, before a tasty breakfast. Then you will be driven back to Inhambane Airport, where you will catch a flight to Johannesburg.
