On a Mozambique family holiday guests can relax on beautiful beaches, swim in clear warm waters, or enjoy fishing and scuba diving on popular coastlines. The catch of the day is served in the on-site restaurant as well as a variety of meals like hamburgers, pasta and famous traditional local dishes.

The restaurant and bar have lovely views of Tofo Bay. The bar is open all day and has a satellite TV. In Sura season, local villagers enjoy a number of celebrations and adventurous guests can try their potent alcoholic brew which is made from the juice of coconuts.

Beaches

Tofo Bay has excellent beaches for a fun Mozambique family holiday. Guests of Casa Barry are advised to bring adequate sun protection as the summer months can be very hot.

Diving

Casa Barry is associated with Tofo Scuba, a well established professional PADI dive centre which is about 800 metres down the beach from the lodge. The dive centre has a representative at Casa Barry who can give guests information and course details as well as assist divers with arrangements. Tofo Scuba offers a variety of courses and also has equipment for hire.

There are at least 17 wonderful dive sites on this coastline catering for all experience levels, with many more to be discovered, the water visibility is good generally between 10 to 30 metres. Manta Rays and Whale Sharks are the main attraction and often seen on the reefs.

Fishing

Guests can enjoy spectacular rock and surf fishing in the seas around Tofo all year round, with wonderful ledges, sandy beaches and the famous cliffs of Tofinho (Goat Hill), there is something for everyone. In the very deep drop offs close to land huge varieties of game fish and bill fish can be found including Bone Fish and Giant King Fish. Casa Barry offers fishing charters, with a qualified assistant, with or without tackle on 2 fully equipped ski-boats.
