This lodge is located on the largest island of the Bazaruto Archipelago, approximately 700km north of Maputo, the capital of Mozambique. The island is a beautiful and unspoilt destination, characterised by its wild fauna, the turquoise ocean and idyllic beaches carefully protected as a Nature Reserve Park.

Mozambique, home to Bazaruto Lodge Island Resort, is situated on the east coast of Africa and boarded by Tanzania to the north, Malawi and Zambia to the northwest, Zimbabwe to the west, Swaziland and South Africa to the south and the Indian Ocean to the east.

Its 2 500km coastline is scattered with numerous coral reefed islands, the largest of which is Bazaruto Island. An air transfer from Vilanculos and Bazaruto is on a 9-seater aircraft. The airstrip is approximately 10 minutes by jeep from the Lodge.
