Guests are transferred from Vilanculos to the island by the Azura top of the range 6 seater Eurocopter helicopter. The flying time is about 10 minutes, and will connect with guests arrival and departure flights.
There is a short grass strip near Azura for smaller private aircraft but subject to suitability and ground conditions.

International connections to Vilanculos, Mozambique:
There are daily flights from OR Tambo International Airport (ORTIA) in Johannesburg to Vilanculos International Airport which connect well with the major international flights from Europe. The flying time from Johannesburg is 2 hours on a 42 seater ATR aircraft.
On Tuesdays and Fridays these flights pick up passengers from Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport and with an onward flying time of just 1 hour, this makes for an excellent bush and beach combination.
There are also regular flights with LAM from OR Tambo airport, Johannesburg, South Africa.
