It’s located in the Quirimbas Archipelago in Mozambique, which consists of 32 tropical islands. These islands stretch for 100 km (62 miles) along the coast from Pemba to the Ruvuma River, which is the natural boarder between Mozambique and Tanzania. There are several flight options guests can choose from. Fly from Dar es Salaam or South Africa to Pemba. Vamizi Island is only a 55 minute flight in a light aircraft away from Pemba.

Currently visas are required by all nationalities except South Africans. Although Vamizi Island in Mozambique is located in a malaria free area, it is still recommended that guests consult their doctors, especially if they plan to travel in Mozambique and the surrounding areas.

Guests are also required to have their own medical and evacuation insurance. Visitors to Vamizi Island are also required to consult their doctor regarding needing a Yellow Fever certificate. Some guests travelling from certain countries would be required to produce a Yellow Fever vaccination certificate.
