Quilalea Island is one of the Southernmost islands in the pristine Quirimbas Archipelago just 30 nautical miles North of Pemba off the coast of Mozambique.

Quilalea Private Island is situated in a pristine protected marine sanctuary in the Quirimbas Archipelago in Mozambique. The island is uninhabited apart from the staff and it is covered in indigenous vegetation, including huge old baobabs. The island has four sandy white beaches, one of which is where turtles come and nest.

Fly In

Our Destination Specialists will arrange all your transport for you. The closest major airport is at Pemba from where you will catch a light aircraft flight to Quirimba Island. This is followed by a short drive through the coconut plantation to the coast where you will catch a boat to Quilalea Private Island, which takes about 20 minutes.

Alternatively speak to our Destination Specialists about a private charter flight into Quirimba Island from where you will catch a 20 minute boat transfer to Quilalea Island. When you arrive there is no jetty and except a high tide you will have to wade through some shallow water to get onto the island.
