The beautiful white sand and warm waters of the Indian Ocean are a few steps away from this accommodation in Mozambique. On the narrow peninsula and sheltered estuary, guests can enjoy the best of the calm tidal waters on one side and the sea on the other.

Pomene Lodge’s electricity is supplied by a generator during the day and reserve power is used for lights at night.

Water Chalets (10)

Raised over the tidal zone on the estuary, these large, high ceilinged traditional reed and thatch chalets provide a lovely retreat for a romantic getaway. There is a double bed with draped netting and en-suite facilities. The water chalets are serviced daily and available on a dinner, bed and breakfast basis, but do not have air-conditioning.

Self-catering Chalets (3)

There is an 8 sleeper, a 6 sleeper and a 4 sleeper available. All the chalets are equipped with crockery, cutlery, 2 plate gas cooker, a freezer and bedding - there are mosquito nets on all beds. Each chalet has a separate toilet and shower with hot and cold water. Guests need to provide their own cleaning materials and towels.

The Den

This arrangement of chalets can accommodate up to 8 people who would prefer more privacy than if they were to share 1 chalet. There are 4 one roomed chalets, each with en-suite shower and toilet, sleeping a maximum of 2 people per room. The chalets share a fully equipped communal kitchen.

Camping and shelters (barracas)

These spacious campsites have their own ablution block with hot and cold water and electrical plug points. As an extra facility, guests can book a barraca, which is an open sided thatched shelter with a plug point. Barracas are commonly used for storage and as an open air eating and living area.
