There will never be a dull moment on your Mozambique travel. Benguerra is a snorkelling, diving and fishing haven and guests will always have something to do. There is a dive school with a dive master to assist you in exploring the reefs and colourful marine life.
The exotic reef fish species that you may encounter on your Mozambique travel include schooling banner fish, moorish idols, barred sweetlips, butterfly fish, goldies, trigger fish, blue striped snappers and many others. Guests may also visit Pansy Island, a deserted island where the legendary pansy shell can be found.
Mozambique is one of the best venues for fly-fishing, and Benguerra Lodge has two experienced guides to help you catch that big one. The lodge maintains 3 by 22 foot Acecats boats ready to join battle with the monsters of the deep, including marlin and sailfish.
The boats are fully equipped with fighting chairs, outriggers, safety equipment, radios and fishing rods for 4 fishermen. Each boat is hosted by an experienced skipper. Marlin season is November to March. Each boat has the equipment on board for tagging and releasing.
