Ponta Mamoli is a Mozambique beach resort which is situated on a pristine natural coastline approximately 100km (62 miles) south of Maputo, and just 25km (15.5 miles) north of Kosi Bay. The resort is situated in a sheltered bay and has the Maputo Special Reserve to the west.

This Mozambique beach resort has over 2km of pristine, sandy beachfront on the south eastern coast of Mozambique. It is surrounded by vast tracts of coastal bush. The temperature is kept balmy by the warm currents of the Indian Ocean, creating an inviting tropical environment. The warm crystal clear waters create the perfect environment for diving and snorkelling.

Getting to Ponta Mamoli

Fly In

If you are flying into Mozambique, you will probably travel via Johannesburg’s O.R. Tambo International Airport in South Africa. You will the catch a connecting flight to Maputo. You can also fly to Maputo directly from Durban or Cape Town.

You will then be transferred either by helicopter or by road to the resort. The flight time in the helicopter is around 30 minutes. Depending on the road conditions and weather the road transfer can take anything from 2.5 hours to 5 hours. Road transfers must depart before 15H00, due to road conditions and poor visibility at night.

By Road

If you are planning to self-drive to White Pearl Resorts Ponta Mamoli you need a 4x4 vehicle. If you do not have one please speak to one of our Destination Specialists about a car rental. You need a 4x4 as the road conditions can be rough.

Directions from Johannesburg (+ - 600km) (372 Miles)

Take the N12 through Witbank towards Middleburg Take Hendrina turnoff and turn right towards Ermelo Continue through Piet Retief to Pongola After 50km (31 miles) turn left to Jozini (you will see the dam on your left) Travel over the mountain and continue through Jozini Take the left fork over the dam wall Turn right at the T-junction towards Kwa Ngwanase Continue straight on through Manguzi to the Kosi Bay border post This is the preferred route via Zitundo

You will need to clear South African and Mozambican customs and immigration Remember to check visa requirements prior to arrival Please also remember your vehicle registration papers (or letter from the bank) and 3rd party insurance papers. You will need a 4x4 from this point onwards Follow the road to Zitundo for 16kms Turn right and travel for 11kms along the tar road to Ponta Mamoli The road becomes dirt about 5kms from the resort
