Your English and Portuguese speaking guide will arrange for you to do some curio shopping in the capital of Mozambique on the way before returning you to Hotel Cardoso. Maputo to Beira and road transfer to Gorongosa National Park
You can fly from Maputo Airport to Beira Airport with Air Mozambique, who provide daily flight connections on this route. There will be a meet & greet service in Beira and a road transfer into Gorongosa National Park which takes about 3 hours.
Explore Gorongosa offer a custom-designed tented camp in the heart of the bush which is your home for the next 4 nights. The Gorongosa National Park is located northwest of Beira near the border of Zimbabwe. It comprises of 1.2 million hectares of open plains, bush, waterways and swamps between the Pungwe and Urema rivers.

On day 7, there is a 3 hour road transfer from Gorongosa National Park to Beira Airport. For your onward flight to Pemba, Air Mozambique flies this route twice weekly with late morning flights out of Beira Airport to Pemba Airport on Tuesdays and Sundays.
On arrival at Pemba, there will be a representative to meet & greet you before your air transfer from Pemba Airport to Ibo Island. This scenic air hop takes 30 minutes. You fly over the southern islands of the Quirimbas Archipelago and National Park.
Ibo Island Lodge is your base for the next 4 nights and offers truly relaxing surroundings. Enjoy spectacular views over the waterfront from the roof top restaurant, tropical gardens and elegant accommodation in fully restored colonial mansions.

Once a mighty trading centre, Ibo Island has been all but forgotten by the outside world for almost a century.
Ibo has been nominated for World Heritage status and offers you an opportunity to wander around mysterious ruins, forts and ancient trade buildings and uncover the past. Activities on this unique island include relaxing massages, beach excursions, diving, snorkelling and sea kayaking through mangrove forests. Day 11: Return from Ibo Island to PembaOn day 11, your magical Mozambique holiday comes to an end. Today, you take the air transfer from Ibo Island to Pemba Airport for your onward connection.
Air Mozambique flies from Pemba Airport to Johannesburg OR Tambo International Airport three times a week on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, and SA Airlink flies on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
