Days 1 - 5: Johannesburg to Pemba And Ibo Island, Quirimbas ArchipelagoFlights from Johannesburg OR Tambo International Airport to Pemba International Airport are operated by Air Mozambique three times a week (Wednesday, Friday and Sunday), and by SA Airlink twice a week (Wednesday and Saturday). When you arrive at Pemba Airport, a representative will be waiting for a meet and greet and to show you to your air transfer from Pemba to Ibo Island. It is a 30 minute scenic flight over the southern islands of the Quirimbas Archipelago and National Park to Ibo Island. Day 6 - 10: Vamizi Island (by Air Transfer)Air-Transfer
An inter-island transfer operates between these two islands on a Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. You will be met at Vamizi airstrip and then taken on a road transfer to Vamizi Island Lodge, which takes approximately 30 to 40 minutes. At Vamizi, relax in a beautiful ocean villa that has direct access to the stunning beach and warm seas. Vamizi Island is shaped like a whale and fringed with near perfect white sandy beaches – the domain of Coconut crabs and over 100 turtles that nest on the shores year after year. Day 11: Return to Pemba by Air TransferYour Mozambique island vacation comes to an end with an air transfer from Vamizi Lodge to Pemba Airport. Flights on Air Mozambique from Pemba to Johannesburg OR Tambo International Airport depart three times a week on a Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.
